David Moyes' side will be attempting to build on their 3-0 victory against Wolves. Can they do that against The Red Devils, who've failed to score in their last three fixtures after drawing at Liverpool? Will they get a win this weekend.
West Ham United are set to host Manchester United live on TNT Sports as the Premier League races into the festive period.
David Moyes' side beat Wolves 3-0 last time out in the league before being on the wrong end of a 5-1 thrashing against Liverpool in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup.
That's the second time in four games the London club have conceded five in what has been a season marked by inconsistency.
Nevertheless, The Hammers sit eighth in the Premier League table, just one point behind their next opponents.
United have won just once in their last six fixtures and have already been dumped out of Europe after a chastening UEFA Champions League campaign left them bottom of Group F.
Erik ten Hag's side held Liverpool to a 0-0 draw at Anfield on Sunday but have now failed to score in four of their last five outings.
The Premier League is back in action with another round of matches this weekend as West Ham United lock horns with Erik ten Hag's Manchester United side in an important encounter at the London Stadium on Saturday.
West Ham United vs Manchester United Preview
West Ham United are currently in ninth place in the Premier League standings and have stepped up to the plate so far this season. The home side slumped to a shock 5-1 defeat at the hands of Liverpool in the EFL Cup this week and will need to work hard to bounce back in this match.
Manchester United, on the other hand, are in seventh place in the league table at the moment and have been inconsistent this season. The Red Devils held Liverpool to a 0-0 stalemate in their previous game and will look to take it up a notch this weekend.
Two teams on wildly inconsistent runs of form meet this weekend when West Ham host Manchester United.
The Hammers, eighth in the Premier League table and only a point behind their opponents, enjoyed key recent wins over Freiburg and Wolves which were bookended by conceding five goals to both Fulham and Liverpool.
Erik ten Hag banked a vital clean sheet up at Anfield last weekend but remains on a run of one win in six.
Man United rank near the bottom of the league in terms of goals scored this season - with only one more than Luton - and yet boast the joint-best defence on the road.
Date, kick-off time and venue
West Ham vs Man Utd is scheduled for a 12.30pm GMT kick-off on Saturday, December 23, 2023.
The match will take place at London Stadium.

West Ham vs Man United team news
David Moyes copped criticism for rotating his team for the midweek Carabao Cup defeat at Liverpool, which at least means the likes of Kurt Zouma, James Ward-Prowse and Lucas Paqueta are well-rested for this game.
Michail Antonio remains the only injury worry for West Ham but Nayef Aguerd and Maxwel Cornet are suffering from illness.
Diogo Dalot is suspended for Man United but Bruno Fernandes returns from his own one-match ban.
Anthony Martial has missed the last two games with illness while Harry Maguire, Mason Mount, Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia, Victor Lindelof and Amad Diallo are all still unavailable, along with Jadon Sancho.
However, Christian Eriksen should be involved after returning to training this week following a knee injury. Ten Hag has confirmed that other unspecified players are also dealing with illness before the game.
West Ham vs Man United prediction
Exactly which way this game swings depends on which of the various versions of both teams show up in the capital.
West Ham may be coming off the back of a heavy defeat but Moyes can hope his rotation risk pays dividends against a Man United team simply lacking any spark up front.
Head to head (h2h) history and results
The Red Devils have won seven of their last nine meetings with the Hammers. It is also a fixture which tends to produce a result, with one draw in 13 games.

West Ham United are expected to rotate their squad after making six changes for the Carabao Cup loss at Liverpool.
Maxwel Cornet and Nayef Aguerd could be available following illness.
Manchester United will be without defender Victor Lindelof, who will be out for over a month after having surgery on a minor groin issue.
Diogo Dalot serves a one-match ban following his red card against Liverpool, but captain Bruno Fernandes returns from suspension.
Christian Eriksen has returned to training but Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro and Mason Mount will be out until mid-January.
Manchester United trained at Carrington on Thursday, in advance of the weekend clash at West Ham United in the Premier League.
Christian Eriksen was again part of the main group, as he looks to push for a return. The Denmark international has been sidelined since suffering a knee injury during the 1-0 win over Luton Town last month and told us he is itching to get back involved.
Amad, who has not played all season, since being injured during the tour of the United States, also took part, as did captain Bruno Fernandes, who is free from suspension after serving a one-match ban in the 0-0 draw at Liverpool on Sunday.
Of course, Erik ten Hag must deal with a fresh absentee due to disciplinary reasons, as Diogo Dalot misses the trip to the London Stadium, following his sending off in the closing stages of last weekend's stalemate.
WEST HAM'S TEAM NEWS
David Moyes's men were hammered 5-1 by Liverpool in the Carabao Cup quarter-final on Wednesday night but some of their star men, including Lucas Paqueta, James Ward-Prowse and Emerson, were rested from the outset.
Ward-Prowse (72 minutes) and Paqueta (57 minutes) did come on in the second half, with in-form Jarrod Bowen scoring the east Londoners' goal.
"We could use the word ‘rotate’ and we’ve not rotated that often, although we did in the really early games in Europe, and, in some of them the performances weren’t that good," admitted Moyes. "We wanted to have a go at the Carabao Cup, we really did, but it does get worrying with the schedule we have. I’m a little worried now for the weekend because a couple of the players played longer than they should have done."
Nayef Aguerd, Maxwel Cornet and Aaron Cresswell were ill, although the latter made the bench.
Alphonse Areola returned in goal, ahead of Lukasz Fabianski, while striker Michail Antonio appears to be a major doubt for Saturday.saf fsdg
